To deliver on our purpose to make wonderful sound part of everyone’s life, we have decided to build our own Design System – called “Echo”. The purpose of the Design System is to secure visual consistence, brand coherence and effective user interface designs across multiple products (websites, audiological tools, mobile apps) and platforms (web, IOS, Android).
We have set up a new cross-functional team, which is 100% dedicated to Echo. It currently consists of a Lead Front-end Architect, a React Developer, a Design Lead, two UI-Designers and a Graphics Designer. Now, we are looking for a passionate and purpose driven Front-End Developer, who will help us build a Design System that serves the whole WS Audiology enterprise globally.
You will be located in our CO2 neutral headquarters north of Copenhagen with dynamic and progressive colleagues, who are highly skilled and empathic. You will work hard and play hard together, and you will do this because you are eager to make a difference and to learn and challenge yourself.
As Front-End Developer in our Design System team, you will work close with developers embedded in our product teams. These are distributed over multiple geographical locations, for instance Erlangen, Bengaluru and Singapore. You will also collaborate with our UX Designers and Brand Managers to evolve Echo’s unified design language. Your line manager will be our global Head of UX in R&D Software.
In this role you will have the following responsibilities:
- Manage build pipelines and releases within Azure DevOps
- Develop and test re-usable React UI components for our design system
- Guide product team developers, who consume or contribute to the design system
- Write technical documentation for UI components and patterns
You are passionate about developing best-in-class web experiences and eager help us build an inclusive Design System, together with awesome colleagues.
You most likely fit the following profile:
- 5+ years of front-end development for a design system
- React, CSS3, HTML5,
- Ecmascript up to 11
- Testing frameworks
- Web Accessibility familiarity
- Expert in build creation and packaging in Azure DevOps
- Rollup, Webpack, etc.
- Good knowledge of LESS/SASS, TypeScript, BEM, Tailwind CSS
- Familiar with agile development environment – ideally SAFe
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A degree in Software Development or similar would be nice
