This team is part of R&D. The focus of the Initial Device Team (IDT) is the 1st integration of a new platform means ASIC, its Firmware and Software deliveries. The evaluation is done in either a Test Vehicle (upgrade of existing instrument) and/or a new hearing aid design.
This pioneering is the basis for other teams who address the remaining product portfolio consecutively.
As EMC expert at IDT you complement and join force with the existing team dealing with electromagnetic compatibility. A special focus shall be put on the interaction with ASIC and Wireless department to achieve as much front loading as possible. The technical approaches shall be lean and generic. You may support the core product architecture and contribute to the design realization after handover to the project teams. Means you are involved from beginning till design release and transfer to operations.
You will work closely with the platform as well as product development. Some of them are distributed over multiple geographical locations, for instance Denmark and Singapore.
You will report to our Head of Initial Device Team.
In this role you will have the following responsibilities:
- Cooperation with ASIC department in view of EMC
- Development of Hearing Aid designs
- Support of Circuit Diagram and Layout
- Verification and iterative optimization
- EM simulation support on demand
- Generate test specifications and test reports
- Final design verification
- Maintenance of measurement setups
- Interface to Platform such as ASIC and WLS
- Drive Fore-Front activities
We expect you to have fundamental experience in electrical engineering especially on EMS (electromagnetic susceptibility) and ESD (electrostatic discharge). Ideally, you have some know-how in ASIC design, too. You are a team player, who can drive topics but seeks feedback and engage in constructive discussions with your colleagues. Creativity, attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude are part of your strengths.
You most likely fit the following profile:
- Master‘s degree or Ph.D. in electrical engineering or similar studies
- Dedicated know-how in EMC design
- Minimum three years of work experience at R&D
- Advanced experience in analog and digital circuit design
- Experience in handling EMS (e.g. EN 60118-13)
- Experience in handling ESD (e.g. EN 60601-1-2)
- Experience in EM simulation using CST
- Basic know-how in MATLAB
- Professional Business English skills
