About the team

At WS Audiology we are searching for an experienced Technical Documentation Manager to take over the daily management or our Technical Documentation department and the 10 skilled employees across our site in Lynge (DK) and Erlangen (DE).

Technical Documentation is a part of Marketing Communication and you will therefore get a key role in the organization. You will become responsible for developing and executing a global technical documentation strategy across brands and markets.

As our new Technical Documentation Manager, you will be responsible for an area where we still have plenty to improve. Since the merger in 2019 the department has been focusing on trying to merge two different processes for technical documentation and you will play a significant role in developing this further, to ensure the best utilization of the resources at hand.

For the right candidate, this position offers a chance to deliver a profound and crucial impact in a leading and truly global organization. You will work closely with Product Management, R&D and IT Management, as well as Key Account Management and directly with local key markets. The position is located at our HQ in Lynge (Greater Copenhagen area)

About the role

With our commitment to become number one in the industry, we want to ensure that our go-to-market approach is backed up by timely and qualitative state-of-the-art user guides and technical documents. To take the next step in this area, we are looking for someone who will have the daily management of the team as well as develop the technical documentation area within WSA. You will also ensure that the business understands our way of working and that we all strive to follow one of our values around going beyond together. Therefore, you will have a large saying in structuring procedures and processes around the deliverables to the business. All in all, you will play in important role in our organization, where we continue to develop our procedures and processes across WSA.

Key tasks include:

  • Be responsible for the management and development of the Technical Documentations Department and its currently 10 team members
  • Develop & optimize existing global work processes and further develop the WSA documentation standards
  • Act as main touchpoint and represent the department towards internal and external stakeholders, e.g. R&D, Product Management, Key Account Management etc
  • Develop and optimize our technical documents deliverables landscape, including user guides, data sheets, service documents - according to quality & regulatory guidelines & regulations
  • Participate & represent the technical documentations department in various boards & meetings (e.g. Change Management Board, Risk Management Board etc.)

About you

You are an experienced team leader and/or consultant searching for the next step on your career ladder, willing to take over responsibility and shape the future of WSA’s entire technical documentation setup, a crucial go-to-market threshold for our products and services around the globe.

You have a strong drive for process implementation and optimization. You are capable of not only identifying the right solution, but also of implementing it. You set high ambitions for yourself, and you favour working in a top-performing environment. You are accustomed to the dynamics of a setup with global HQ and local markets.

Experience

  • You have minimum 3+ years of management experience leading a team of at least 3 FTE's
  • You have experience from working in consultancy within technical documentation and are ready to move to the industry side OR you have team-lead experience in technical documentation
  • You are experienced with customized document/process management software (SAP, Go, Agile etc.)
  • You are skilled in running projects meticulously and vigilantly
  • You have experience from a global organizational setup
  • Ideally, you have some experience in a highly regulated areas such as diagnostic industry, medical instruments, pharmaceuticals etc.
