Your responsibilities

You will develop innovative strategies to compensate hearing losses and develop, optimize and test new algorithms. In your work, you will be closely networked with all the departments needed to develop a hearing aid. Especially with the developers of signal processing, electroacoustics, and software. You will be responsible for ensuring that new developments provide the greatest possible sound quality and benefit for our customers.


The work pushes the limits of the technology and we expect you to contribute to the ground-breaking performance of our world-class hearing aids for the benefit of hearing-aid users.


Your new role

  • Working within a great heterogeneous team, striking together to make the best hearing aids in the world
  • Sound optimization of signal processing algorithms
  • Setting up sound scenarios for listening tests with several reproduction methods (Wave Field Synthesis, Ambisonics, Speaker Arrays)
  • Developing modern fitting strategies to compensate different kinds of hearing loss
  • Creating software tools and graphical user interface to support the team in the development process
  • Design, evaluation and conduction of perceptive studies concerning new hearing aid algorithms and fitting concepts
  • Deep technical knowledge to act as an expert who communicates across several disciplines
  • Conduct acoustic measurements to evaluate performance of algorithms and quality criteria
  • Judging sound quality based on your own listening experience


Your qualifications

  • Degrees in physics, communications engineering, electrical engineering, media technology or audiology (PhD preferred)
  • Experience and passion for all aspects of hearing and sound perception
  • Experience with innovative sound reproduction systems (Wave Field Synthesis, Ambisonics)
  • Fluent & professional programming skills; advanced knowledge in MATLAB, Python, Java
  • Expert knowledge in audio and digital signal processing and electro acoustic design
  • Customer-focused mindset
  • Experience in interdisciplinary and international collaboration
  • Interest in modern technologies and developments in the global audio field
