WS Audiology has historically between one of the pioneers in using data and Machine Learning for the optimization of sound in our hearing aids. To further build on this legacy, we are now looking for a Product Owner to join our team in either Erlangen, Germany or Lynge, Denmark.
The department of Software Infrastructure & System Services in anchored within our R&D organization and works across both our B2B SW Development as well as B2C SW Development. In this role, you will primarily support our AI department with the infrastructure needed to develop and test world class algorithms to be brought into use with our hearing aids.
The department consists of SW Architects, PO’s, Developers and Data Analysts working to collect data, structure and cleansing of data to ensure that the rest of R&D have the best possible access and use of the data for our projects in R&D.

In the role as Product Owner, you will be a part of the R&D Data Analytics team where you will be planning and prioritizing tasks regarding business analytics insights, the data eco-system, as well as state-of-the-art AI projects. You will be working closely together with other teams in the R&D department especially those working with AI and Software Development, as well as colleagues in other departments such as IT, Legal and Marketing. You will be able to work from either our Lynge or Erlangen site.
- Ensure that the backlog is transparent and visible for the team and relevant stakeholders
- Keep a healthy balance on the backlog, both prioritizing the functional and non-functional requirements
- Be available for your team to clarify and discuss ambiguities
- Coordination and alignment with other teams
- Proactive stakeholder management
About the role
We expect you to be a very pro-active Product Owner who thinks data first. You know that high quality data requires an understanding of where, when and how the data is generated and thus what process it describes. Therefore, you will need to interact with other Product Owners to always try to get the data agenda prioritized in projects.
Additionally, you are a strong communicator that knows when to insist and when to accept a compromise. You are a team player who engages in constructive discussions with your fellow colleagues, who, like you, cherish openness, constructive feedback and constant professional development. A collaborative attitude is one of your strengths.
The ideal candidate checks all or most of these boxes:
- University degree in computer science, IT or a similar field
- Great communication skills and experienced with collaborating with various colleagues that have different knowledge areas and competencies
- Experience as Product Owner OR experienced Data Analyst/Data Scientist looking to transition into a PO role
- Have a data first-approach
- Able to see the bigger picture
- Experience working with data (Azure DevOps, Databricks experience a plus)
- Experience with GDPR
- Comfortable with handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Work independently and have excellent problem-solving skills
