About the position
We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our corporate legal department to assist on data privacy topics across the EMEA region. The role will be based in Lynge, Denmark. The legal department in Denmark consists of 3 lawyers/attorneys based in Lynge, working across our entities in the EMEA LATAM region. The Chief Legal Officer is based in Singapore together with 3 attorneys working across the APAC region. We also have 3 lawyers in the US.
In this role, you will work closely with all functions and business leads and their teams to provide practical and commercially focused privacy advice to support the growth and expansion of our business. In addition, you will support to implement global data privacy policies, processes, and trainings for the EMEA region.
As we are still quite a young organization since our merger in 2019, you will be able to set your mark on a lot of different processes as well influence the structure of the legal department moving forward.
Responbilities:
- Provide succinct and business-oriented solutions to management, function leads and business partners on data privacy issues with a clear focus on GDPR
- Draft, review and negotiate data processing and other agreements related to data privacy topics with customers/vendors and any other third parties
- Support the EMEA Privacy team to implement WSA data privacy policies and tools and advise internal business clients regarding how to implement initiatives in a manner that is consistent with GDPR, policies and best practices
- Assist the EMEA Privacy team with internal data protection audits and to ensure that the reporting procedures are properly implemented
- Prepare and conduct trainings for employees on privacy topics as may be assigned
- Implement global initiatives, projects and reporting obligations as may be cascaded from our Chief Legal Officer
About you

Experience:
- Master's degree in law or related
- A few years of experience from a law firm or as an inhouse-counsel
- You have considerable experience working with GDPR topics
- Experience from a healthcare/medical device industry and global setup is an advantage but not a requirement

- You have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively, with a solution-oriented approach, in teams within legal, business, and functional areas
- You are self-motivated and proactive and can work independently and drive changes across an organization
- You cherish the ability to set structure and processes, where there might not be some and get a kick out of seeing your footprint in the work that you do
- You can work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic corporate environment
- You are a forward-thinking team player with a flexible attitude in regard to work assignments and new learning
