The role
At WS Audiology, Research & Development is it all about understanding people – and building awareness about how our hearing aids can improve their quality of life.
We are looking for an experienced Test Manager to define and implement a multi-site test strategy that covers all product types and ensures efficient automated and manual system verification and validation conducted by the outsourced test team and ensure that the quality is high before the products are delivered to our customers.
You are a very structured team player, who can communicate in a precis and easy-to-understand way. You can make things happen and you do not back down from a challenge. Finally, you thrive in walking the extra mile for the team and you have great collaboration skills.
About you
The ideal candidate holds a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in IT, Software, Electronics, Computer Science or similar combined with several years of practical experience within the medical industry.
As a person, you have the passion for impact and are motivated by seeing the results of your effort as well as engaging with others to create them. You are an excellent team player and believe that you can accomplish more as a team than as an individual.
You are a testing evangelist and strive to become the beacon of software quality in our organization and you can inspire others to produce quality work.

Requirements:
- Knowing that your success depends on the success of your team.

- Outgoing and open-minded person with the ability to state your opinion and promote your team and functions.
- Minimum three years of experience as a Test Manager.
- Experience with complex embedded systems and preferably in the medical industry.
- Experience in working with outsourcing partners and/or different team locations and cultures.
- Solid understanding of test automation capabilities and limitations.
- Experience with multi-site test strategy, process and test maturity definition and implementation.
- ISTQB Test Manager certifications.
- Preferably experience with Requirements and Test Management tools.
- Strong personal drive and dedication for the test discipline.
- Technical background as a SW developer or Test Engineer with hands-on test experience of embedded systems.
- Always aiming and fighting for the highest product quality.
- Always seeking to improve and optimize ways of working for you and your team.
- Structured and systematic in your work.
- Knowledge and understanding of Medical Device Regulation and Design Control is a plus
- Knowledge about EN 62304 is a plus
Key responsibilities:
- Planning of test strategy, test effort and resources to support the different R&D projects
- Lead, coach, motivate and develop your team on a technical level
- Interact with other R&D functional and project managers
- Develop and implement a test automation strategy for the different project
- Manage and plan effective execution of the test projects utilizing in-house as well as outsourcing teams.
