At WS Audiology, we believe in unlocking human potential by making wonderful sound part of everyone’s life. We are the largest producers of hearing aids in the world and we’re looking for an Internal Communications Specialist with potential to help our 12,000 colleagues work towards our goal of bringing even more hearing aids to people so they can live a fulfilling life.
WS Audiology was created by the merger between Widex and Sivantos a little over three years ago. In that time, the communications team has played a leading role in bringing our global colleagues together. We’ve made great strides, but we still have more to do - and you can help us.
We are looking for an early career communications specialist who can turn their hand to a wide variety of communication tasks: writing intranet articles, campaign copywriting, emails, internal social media content, scripts, video and podcast creation.
You will help manage and develop our channels: Intranet platform (SharePoint and LiveTiles), email distribution lists, Town Halls, Teams Meetings, video, podcasts, Yammer and Sociuu.
We are a diverse company and you will be communicating to everyone including our colleagues in production, customer care, sales and marketing, logistics, R&D engineers and more. Each group receives communication differently and you should have the ability to put yourself in their shoes and find the right tone, content and channel to fit.
The WSA Communication department at a glance
You will be joining our Corporate Communications department in our Danish headquarters, where you will be reporting to our Head of Internal Communications.
The department is split into internal and external communication teams with four colleagues in our two headquarters in Lynge, Denmark and Singapore as well as one of our R&D sites in Erlangen, Germany. Both internal and external teams work closely together and overlap in some roles.
The department is still developing, and you will be given the opportunity to develop with us. We are open to being challenged and interested in new ways of doing things. Our team is small but very experienced and will be happy to help you further your career in communications.
What we are looking for in you
We are looking for someone with a relevant degree within the communications sphere or solid practical experience in corporate communications if you have a different background.
You should thrive in a global, inclusive company culture and understand working locally and globally. You will be working on several levels of the organization, and we expect you to have an understanding of working with senior management.
We hope that you can also tick most of the following boxes:
- +2 years of experience of working in an international communications role
- Professional proficiency in English, especially written as well as verbal
- Practical experience in video and audio creation (scripting, filming, editing) and updating intranet web platforms (SharePoint /LiveTiles)
- Microsoft Office 365 superuser
- Experience of event organization
- Practical experience in content creation/management of professional social media accounts
