The team
WSAudiology is an exciting workplace where having the right mindset and qualification is imperative. The Translation Coordinator (TransCo) is a new role, and you will be one of our two new TransCos.
Technical Documentation (Tech Doc.) is a global department, and you will be joining the Technical Documentation Team, part of marketing, and work closely with the Technical Documentation Specialists (Tech.Writers) and our key stakeholders around the world. You will be part of an informal, but also complex international environment.
The Tech Doc. department prepares different user focused documentation (IFUs and Data Sheets) for hearing aids and accessories for all WSAudiology brands and private labels. We manage translation of up to 50 languages working with an external language service provider. Today the Tech.Writers also manage translation.
The role
You will be responsible for the coordination of all translations related to technical documentation together with the other TransCo. You will work closely with the Tech. writers, our language service provider, and the WSAudiology entities around the world who localize.
Based on your level of experience you will have the possibility to influence the structure and workflow of your role, and you will proactively contribute to the continued optimization and development of the translation handling flow. Our focus is to work smart with a lean mindset.
Areas of responsibility:
- Respond in a timely and professional manner to queries concerning translations
- Plan, schedule and monitor translation projects
- Maintain a spreadsheet for project follow-up
- Effectively communicate and follow-up with internal stakeholders, language professionals and colleagues to ensure high quality translated materials
- Prepare files for translation
- Work closely with language service provider
- Perform quality checks on translated files
- Manage and follow-up on invoices
- Upload, manage, and release language files in systems used
- ePLM/Agile
- CCMS/DocCenter
- TMS/MemSource
- PDF/Adobe suite
About you
A collaborator with a passion for languages, structure, meticulous eye for detail, and a disciplined approach
to organisation and timekeeping. A willingness to undertake training to learn more, and a positive approach to change is imperative.
Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience as a translation coordinator or in a similar role in the language industry
- A degree in Languages or Translation Studies or equivalent industry experience
- Linguistic skills with the ability to assess quality and completeness of translations
- Fluency in Danish and English
- Experience of translation quality assurance, proofreading or copy editing
- Experience in working in a CCMS and a TMS (preferred)
- Knowledge of Adobe suite (preferred)
- Experienced user of MS Office
