Furthermore, there can be opportunities to rotate over time between different focus areas since we highly value building diverse competences in our team.
Possible focus areas can be:
- Implementation and verification of signal processing algorithms in ultra-low power
- Implementation and verification of processor sub-systems and relevant components
- Implementation and verification of mixed-signal circuits
Depending on your focus area, specific tasks can include:
- Architecture and micro-architecture definition
- Algorithm optimization together with signal processing team
- Requirement and module specification
- SystemVerilog implementation and verification
- Testbench development
- Power analysis and optimization
- Synthesis and constraint specification
- FPGA prototyping
- Contribute to design methodology, future architecture development and forefront projects
This is a good opportunity to join a very innovative project in a phase where you can have an integral part, both short term and long term, and influence at many levels.
The Team
The IC Development team is responsible for developing analog and digital chips for our hearing aids. These chips are the core components of our hearing aids, and they integrate a wide range of functionality such as power management, recharging, analog/digital converters, magnetic inductive radio, MCU/DSP processor sub-systems, interface IPs, advanced audio signal processing and more. A key challenge is to integrate all of this into a very small footprint on a minimal power budget.
Our IC Development team of skilled engineers work together with focus on creating a fun and inclusive environment. We value an informal atmosphere, teamwork, collaboration and achieving together.
We work with the aim to make industry leading chipsets for our hearing aids using the latest technologies.
About you
We expect you to either be someone about to graduate from a relevant field of study or have some years of relevant experience from a similar role working on digital ASIC or FPGA development. Some of the relevant competences are:
- RTL coding (VHDL / Verilog / SystemVerilog)
- Signal processing fundamentals with good understanding on filters etc.
- Digital circuits and micro-architecture
- Realization of DSP algorithms in RTL
- Verification methodology (e.g. UVM can be a plus)
- Power aware design techniques
- ASIC design methodology and flow / synthesis / FPGA prototyping
- Scripting (Python etc.) and programming in C/C++
- Processor architecture and HW/SW co-design
We expect you to have a relevant degree (B.Sc, M.Sc, or PhD) in Electrical Engineering or similar, and we expect that you have a strong technical foundation and a solid understanding of digital design principles.
You are motivated by innovation and the opportunity to develop technology that can help people around the world. You are a strong team player and you can work with colleagues in an international environment.
