Requirements engineer with a system mindset
Are you an ambitious requirements engineer, and do you have a passion for system level design and architecture? Or vice versa? The Systems Engineering team at WSA Lynge is looking for a colleague with the skills, experience and drive to take our requirements engineering at system level to the next level.
The Systems Engineering team in Lynge is responsible for driving the process of system feature qualification from concept to architecture specification by leading and facilitating cross-functional feature teams. These teams refine user needs and manage stakeholder requirements to scope a solution and to ensure alignment between product domains. Eventually they create the system design and gather requirements for system and subsystem level that are consumed by implementers and the System Integration and Test team.
What you will do
As requirements engineer, will work closely with colleagues in the Systems Engineering team to define, document, and maintain requirements in the system design process. Additionally, you will also be working with requirements engineers from product domains to structure the requirements database and to create tracing of system level requirements to subsystem and component level. When you have learned your way around, we expect that you can use your experience and insights to enter a dialogue to define the requirements strategy of the future.
Moreover, your responsibilities will include:
- Defining, reviewing and clarifying requirements for the hearing aid system and create traceability to subsystem and component level requirements.
- Maintaining a well-structured requirements database in tools like Cameo Systems Modeler, ADC and/or Polarion.
- Releasing and maintaining requirement specifications for multiple projects and multiple product versions.
- Supporting test engineers in deriving test specifications based on requirement specifications.
- Teaming up with other requirement engineers and developers to define the requirements strategy of the future.
What you bring
You appreciate the importance of requirements engineering and have a structured mindset and an eye for detail and intricacies. However, you also maintain an overview of the system design and understand the challenges involved at the system level. You have a flexible mindset and possess good communication and moderation skills.
We expect that you have a Bachelor, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar technical field and that you have worked as a developer in an R&D.
We expect that you have previous experience as a requirements engineer with proper skills in writing and maintaining technical requirements. You probably have experience in at least one requirements management tool, e.g., Polarion, Doors, Azure DevOps Server or similar.
Basic understanding of software or embedded systems and experience with development of software for regulated environments is an advantage.
